The Shoes
Bought on sale at Robinson's Galleria.The bride had some difficulty finding closed-toe wedding shoes. She didn't want strappy open-toed sandals that would display tired toes, or the mule-type shoes that would probably slip off when she kicks her heels up. She didn't want plain white ones either...she preferred that there be some sort of glitter or embroidery to make the shoe scream "i'm special!".
Four days before the wedding, she just settled for something that fit. And was closed toe. And had slingbacks. And was white (sort of, when the right amount of light is reflected).
And that is the tale of the shoe.
The Trial Makeup, Part 3
It's the third time for the bride-to-be to have her trial makeup. She's had trial makeups with three different makeup artists, and so far she has realized that:
- she has spent far more on makeup than she had ever spent in her entire lifetime
- she just wants to get it over with and look decent (pareho ang kulay ng leeg at mukha, medyo kamukha pa rin ang sarili, etc)
So the bride booked a makeup artist even without undergoing a trial makeup (she already saw the makeup artist's work beforehand on another person). But it turns out she still had to have a trial makeup (so the makeup artist can gauge the right mix on the day itself). So she has to shell out more money for the trial. But it was alright. The makeup artist, who lived in a cute pink pad somewhere in Cubao, was good, and captured the "natural" effect perfectly.

The Suits & Dresses
Obviously, we're not superstitious.
The groom was happy with his suit (
naitago ang tyan). The ringbearer was a very happy kid (
ayaw na ihubad ang damit). One of the flowergirl dresses was really big (I bet it could fit me). The junior bridesmaid was very happy with her dress. And the bride? The bride is confused about what to think. =(
