an unreachable oasis
Sigh.
The venue pictured above is a new garden-type wedding reception venue situated smack dab right very near the church that we've booked for the wedding.
I wanted a garden wedding before. Then I dared dream of a beach wedding. When we realized the logistical nightmare that could be, it was back to a garden wedding. Then we realized the financial nightmare it could be, so it became the church hall instead.
So when I read about this new venue that just opened this summer right smack dab beside the church that we've booked, guess what happened? My heart skipped a bit. I thought, maybe, just maybe, all things do happen for a purpose. Maybe, just maybe, I can have that dream wedding after all, with the cool and comfy and elegant restrooms that I seem to be secretly obsessed about [syempre kailangan makapag-CR ng maayos ang mga tao -- my friend who's obsessed with clean restrooms would be so proud :)] So I emailed the owner, asking about the rates, even if we already deposited 5000 pesos for the reservation of the church hall.
Sigh.
Sana kung ganun nga yung price ng venue, pero yung price ng caterer pwede pa rin yung katulad ng dati. But from what I've learned, the more expensive the venue, the more expensive the caterer's package too. The venue would usually accept only "accredited" caterers, and these accredited caterers have a fixed minimum rate for their services. And that "minimum" is a bit steep actually. Sigh. Why do they do that anyway? To weed out the jologs???
Sigh. Double sigh. So let me just dream on. Dream away. Sigh.
